    Dear California students,

    Wow!
Your letters are amazing and your voices were powerful in telling the terrible stories behind the words. It’s a reminder to all of us how one person can truly make a difference in the world if they follow their heart and do the right thing even in the face of adversity.
Thank you for sharing your writing and your voices with us here at Youth Radio.

    Sincerely,
    Mr. Hodgson

PS — We will try to listen to the podcast this week, if we can (a snow storm has blasted our way this week — I hope we can get some photos here for you to see). Next week is winter vacation week for us, so if we don’t get to your story with comments, please be patient.

Very well done. This is what YouthRadio is all about. Students working together, gathering information, ideas and creating something new with what they’ve learned. Great job. Mr. Bledsoe – Molalla Elementary School, Molalla, Oregon.

  24. Thank you letting me know your class is podcasting. I am really inspired!. Podcasting across the nation is brilliant. What is most impressive to me is through this project your students have become aware of how important each person is and the difference one person can make in their world. Kudo’s to you Mr. Faires. Focusing on projects like this one is a great way for kids to learn, gain a deep appreciation for another persons courage to take a stand and see what can come out of standing for something.

But with the story of Mr. Sugihara it made me inspired to be a true hero not just for fame but for to save others.

Your podcast moved me deeply. Your voices made one of the most disturbing times in history come alive. I felt the fears, desperation and gratitude of the Jews; the bureaucratic resistance of the Japanese government; and the courage of Mr. Sugihara, who did the right thing at tremendous personal cost. Thank you for your wonderful work.
